Bryre House

Meare Green, Somerset

We were approached by the clients who had already worked out a proposal for a garden room to adjoin the existing house with a connection to the kitchen/dining. We turned these ideas into a detailed drawing package that was submitted for planning permission and building regulation approval. We worked with the structural engineers to provide a vaulted ceiling within the hip roof detail utilising a small box steel frame. This has really helped animate the space that would otherwise make the room feel box like.

“Jason Keswick of re:DSGN Ltd designed our garden room extension and submitted plans to Taunton Deane Council Planning on our behalf. Jason also provided contacts for both Structural Engineering and Building Control. Jason was on hand to offer advice, help and support through both the design and construction and turned our concept into a reality. In fact, we are so pleased with the end result as it exceeds our own expectations. The service provided was exceptional and we would have no hesitation in recommending re:DSGN Ltd ”  Mr & Mrs D Ryland, Client
